Rear-ended by a car when you are stopped for a traffic light? Then that driver is most likely liable for damage to your vehicle and for any injuries you suffer. But what if your vehicle is damaged (or you are injured) because of a pothole in the road?

Poor road conditions, including potholes, can be the cause of serious car damage or even injuries for the driver. But, whether a person can sue for the resulting damage or injuries is a complicated question.

Many Resident Arrested

SHREVEPORT, La. (KALB News Channel 5) A Many resident has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine in Sabine Parish, according to United States Attorney Stephanie A. Finley.Cassius L. Medlock, 32, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Elizabeth E. Foote, to one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine base. Medlock was stopped on August 14, 2014, for speeding and after searching the vehicle, officers observed more than 193 grams of cocaine base and marijuana in the vehicle he was driving. Six children were also present in the vehicle.

Medlock faces five to 40 years in prison, four to five years of supervised release and a $5 million fine. A sentencing date was set for March 5.
