 2015 Louisiana Pecan Festival

Held in downtown Colfax, the festival events include the Grand Parade, live music, contest, fireworks, and the Queen’s Ball.

LPF Highlights

Friday, November 6

  • 7:30 am –  Blessing of the Crops
  • 8 am – Vendors open (Front Street); Cooking Contest begins
  • 9 am – Children’s Day begins (in front of post office)
  • Noon – Carnival opens; Antique Tractor Show opens (across from DMV); performances by Pecanettes & Mini Pecanettes; Live Musical Entertainment by Lex Luther
  • 2 pm – Performance by Pecanettes
  • 3:30 pm – Live Musical Entertainment by The Last Ride
  • 8 pm til midnight – Queen’s Ball (Grant Parish Civic Cener) featuring Live Musical Entertainment by The Cartoons

Saturday, November 7

  • 8 am – Vendors open (Front Street); Antique Tractor Show opens (across from DMV)
  • 10 am – Grand Parade with Grant Parish’s own Jessing Stalling, Pitcher for LSU Tigers Baseball, as Grand Marshall
  • 11 am – Pecan House & Country Store Open
  • Noon – Carnival opens; presentation of Queen and Court; parade results; performance by Pecanettes
  • 1 pm – Live Musical Entertainment by Hank Staples & Thundercreek Band
  • 4:30 pm – Performance by Pecanettes
  • 5 pm – Street Dance with Live Musical Entertainment by The Joel Martin Project (a mix of Rhythm & Blues, Zydeco, Cajun & Country)
  • 8:30 – Fireworks display

Sunday, November 8

  •  10 am – Gospel Music
  • 12:30 pm – Vendors open; Pecan House & Country Store open
  • 1:30 pm – Live Musical Entertainment by Junction 511
